Ƶlogo (Headquarters: Tokyo, President and CEO: Haruo Naito, “Ƶlogo”) announced today that it has enterd into an option agreement on a transdermal patch formulation of donepezil for the territory of Japan with Teikoku Seiyaku Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kagawa, President & CEO: Shosaku Murayama, “Teikoku Seiyaku”) and also a license agreement on the same product for all countries except Japan with its U.S. subsidiary, Teikoku Pharma USA, Inc. (Headquarters: California, President & CEO: Masahisa Kitagawa, “Teikoku USA”), respectively, as follows:
USA: Development by Teikoku USA, exclusive marketing by Ƶlogo
Japan: Ƶlogo option rights concerning development and marketing
Other Territories: Exclusive development and marketing by Ƶlogo
In addition, Ƶlogo obtained an option right to enter into an exclusive license agreement to develop and commercialize the second generation product in all countries except Japan from Teikoku USA and Teikoku Seiyaku.
Ƶlogo is working proactively to enhance patient value by adding new indications and formulations of donepezil hydrochloride (Aricept®). With these agreements, Ƶlogo will aim to provide a new formulation option and continue to make further contributions to addressing the diversified needs of the people living with Alzheimer’s disease, and to improving their benefits.
